I think that mockery can be good - when it's done right, and more importantly, intelligently. Saying that "corduroy skirts are a sin" is only funny to non-christians, who probably aren't against homosexuality. Thus, it doesn't accomplish anything. If instead you point out the absurdity of deriving a hatred toward an entire group of people from Leviticus (or indeed from any book, including the bible) by saying something like "[shellfish] shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination. -Leviticus 11:11," then you might get some christians who are on the fence about homosexuality to realize the folly of such arguments. For those of you who don't know, this passage is only several lines after the line in the bible that says homosexuality is wrong. So yes, gays are as bad as people who eat shrimp in God's eyes.

these people are idiots... though the thing about marriage, and abortion, i kind of agree that you should not keep remarrying and abortion is obviously wrong... but they are so full of hatred, it's unbelievable

To students at Gunn, Stanford, and anyone else in the area this weekend:

I don't wish to incite violence. All I'm saying is, if someone were to pick off one or two of these picketers (heck, maybe four or five), you would be an American hero. You would have the best lawyers in the country defending you. You would be on the nightly news, lauded as someone courageous enough to fight everything that's wrong with America. Donations for your legal bills would pour in from every corner of this great nation. And you would feel f-ing awesome.

That's all I'm saying.
